It is said that those who look like each other get caught: a popular saying that similarities-in the way of
being but also in appearance and style-are predictive of a good match, one that will make headlines and
perhaps go down in History. Of examples in life there are many: from Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart
to Gianni and Marella Agnelli, from Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg to David and Victoria Beckham, from
Mick and Bianca Jagger to Johnny Depp and Kate Moss… But, you know, a couple is not only made up of
people, it also indicates the pairing of things with the same end. Thus, among the anti-cold weather, the
coolest couple of Fall/Winter is represented by turtleneck and matching padding by Rocco Ragni.

The couple met in the village of Compresso, a handful of kilometers from Perugia. It was here that the
designer founded, in 2005, his Bottega Perugina, a small jewel of a company that relies on a team of twenty
people, on their hands of expert artisans who, with passion and savoir faire, preserve and hand down the
uniqueness of their work, a symbol of Italian excellence in the world. Knit and padded vest are not a
shrieking or showy pair: they are two sophisticated types, exuding rigor and splendor. They are shaped
according to a modern and essential aesthetic, enveloping through the skillful weaving of precious and
warm yarns.
The daytime jacquard pair consists of a merino wool, cashmere and silk turtleneck with Norwegian
patterned jacquard work and a sleeveless down jacket in a combination fabric with an insert in the same
knit on the front. It has a hood, pockets and zipper closure. The evening and special occasion-loving lurex
pair consists of a mock-up in bright merino wool and lurex yarn worked in honeycomb and a padded vest in combination fabric with knit insert on the front.
